Abstract
|
[Objective] To explore the effects of acupuncture at Beishu points with awn needles combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction on balance dysfunction after stroke based on the theory of stimulating the mind and regulating the mind.[Methods] A prospective study of 84 patients with post-stroke balance dysfunction who were hospitalized in the Rehabilitation Department and the First Department of Encephalopathy in our hospital from January 2019 to March 2020 were selected for a prospective study, and the included cases were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction, and the observation group was treated with awn needle penetration needling combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction. One week is a course of treatment. Both groups of patients were treated for 4 consecutive courses. After the course of treatment, the curative effects were counted. The scores and total scores of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes, Berg balance score (BBS) scores and Fugl-Meyer balance (FMB) scores of the two groups were compared.[Results] After treatment, the stroke curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total scores of hemiplegia, crooked mouth and tongue, astringent speech, hypoesthesia, pale complexion, shortness of breath, fatigue, spontaneous perspiration, and TCM syndrome scores decreased in both groups (P<0.05), and the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the BBS scores of both groups increased (P<0.05), and the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the FMB scores of both groups increased (P<0.05), and the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Acupuncture at Beishu points with awn needles combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction has a good effect on patients with balance dysfunction after stroke, and can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with sitting, standing, and walking instability, and improve balance dysfunction after stroke. |
