Abstract
[Objective] To systematically review the randomized controlled trials of Xinqin Granules in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.[Methods] VIP, WanFang, CBM, CNKI, EMbase, the Cochrane Library, and PubMed databases were retrieved online to collect randomized controlled trials (RCT) of Xinqin Granules in treatment for allergic rhinitis since the establishment to December 2019. Two investigators screened out literature independently, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of included studies. The risk assessment of included references was made according to criteria recommended by Cochrane Handbook 5.3.Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.3 software.[Results] A total of 10 RCT were included. Meta analysis showed that:compared with oral western medicine alone, Xinqin Granules combined with oral Western medicine in treating allergic rhinitis can improve the total clinical effective rate[RR=1.18, 95%CI(1.13, 1.24), P<0.000 01], reduce the relapse rate of allergic rhinitis[RR=0.29, 95%CI(0.20, 0.41), P<0.000 01], and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions[RR=0.54, 95%CI(0.32, 0.92), P=0.02].[Conclusion] Xinqin Granules have significant effects in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in the total clinical effective rate, reducing recurrence, reducing the occurrence of adverse reactions. Due to the limited by the quality and quantity of the included studies, the above conclusions are yet to be verified by more rigorous clinical trials.
