Abstract
|
Insomnia is a clinical disease which is prevalent but difficult to cure. The microbiota-gut-brain axis has been shown to be associated with many systemic diseases, such as neurological, digestive, endocrine, respiratory diseases. In recent years, some studies have shown that gut microbiota is closely related to insomnia, and continuous clinical and experimental studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) can improve insomnia by regulating intestinal flora instability. This paper discusses the overview of the microbiota-gut-brain axis, the theoretical basis of TCM and the research progress of regulating intestinal flora in TCM based on the theory of microbiota-gut-brain axis and so on,in order to provide new ideas for the treatment of insomnia. |
