| Abstract

| Chronic cough is a common disease in respiratory medicine,for which treating is tricky. The cause and mechanism of the disease is complex in traditional Chinese medicine. Although it's a lung disease,other organs are often involved,also with the existence of mixed deficiency and excess,or combination of internal and external pathogen. As the comprehensive embodiment of the relationship between viscus and balance of yin and yang,constitution determines the pathogenesis of the disease in terms of internal injury and exogenous factors,making its syndrome characteristics different. It is possible to adopt combination of "constitution differentiation-disease differentiation-syndrome differentiation" to get more effective control of this disease. Based on the constitution classification of Academician WANG Qi,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,and referring to the diagnosis and treatment ideas of physicians in ancient and modern times,combined with the clinical experience of Professor CUI Hongsheng,we discussed the prevention and treatment strategy of the disease. |
