Abstract
[Objective] To evaluate the status of systematic evaluation of acupuncture and moxibustion through visual analysis, and analyze the existing problems in clinical research of acupuncture and moxibustion.[Methods] Systematic reviews of acupuncture were searched in the Cochrane Library database from January 2011 to November 2021.The main intervention methods were acupuncture, electroacupuncture, acupressure, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and moxibustion.Excel,Cytoscape and Gephi were used for visual analysis.[Results] A total of 329 articles were retrieved,88 of which met the inclusion criteria. The publications are mainly in China,Australia and the United Kingdom;published institutions are mainly concentrated in Queen Mary Hospital,Hong Kong,China, and Royal Women's Hospital;parkville,Australia. The authors are Daniel KL Cheuk and Caroline A Smith, and there is little cooperation and communication among the authors.Acupuncture were cited the most frequently for pain management, followed by acupuncture for migraine, acupressure for nausea and vomiting, etc. The treatment results were mainly pain, diseases of urogenital system and diseases of nervous system treated by acupuncture.Traditional acupuncture are still the main intervention methods. The distribution of results was mainly negative;the sufficiency of evidence is mainly low evidence.[Conclusion] Low quality clinical studies of acupuncture will affect the clinical efficacy and safety evaluation of acupuncture and moxibustion. To improve the clinical design of acupuncture and moxibustion, select reasonable control, improve the core index set of acupuncture and moxibustion diseases and clinical evaluation system of acupuncture, improve the quality of clinical research and papers on acupuncture.
