Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of needle-embedding therapy on local tenderness point in the treatment of external humeral epicondylitis.[Methods] The 60 patients with external epicondylitis of humerus were randomly divided into the filiform acupuncture group (30 cases) and needle-embedding therapygroup (30 cases). They were treated with filiform acupuncture and screw acupuncture, twice a week. Visual analogue scale (VAS) and four-level weighted scale were used to evaluate the efficacy before and after 2 weeks of treatment.[Results] After treatment,VAS score and grade 4 weighted score in both groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.01),and VAS score and grade 4 weighted score in the needle-embedding therapygroup were lower than those in the filiform acupuncture group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 73.3% in the acupuncture group and 96.7% in the needle-embedding therapygroup (P<0.05).[Conclusion] The effect of needle-embedding therapyon local tenderness point on external epicondylitis of humerus is significant, which can obviously relieve elbow pain and improve elbow functional movement, and the effect is better than that of needle acupuncture. |
