Abstract
|
Myocardial hypertrophy is an abnormal enlargement of cardiomyocytes caused by pressure or volume overload in the heart, which in turn affects the cardiac pathways of gene transcription, protein synthesis, metabolism, oxidative stress and autophagy, ultimately leading to chronic heart failure. This paper reviews the four types of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) evidence of myocardial hypertrophy, namely qi deficiency and blood stasis, phlegm and blood stasis,qi and yin deficiency, and yang deficiency and water flooding, and their pathogenesis,as well as the research progress of TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of myocardial hypertrophy. In the hope of providing new ideas for the clinical prevention and treatment of myocardial hypertrophy. |
