Abstract
[Objective] To explore the effect of DING's massage on subacromial space in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS),and observe the correlation between subacromial space and clinical efficacy. [Methods] The 30 patients with SIS were treated with DING's massage twice a week for 4 weeks. The changes of UCLA shoulder joint score,Constant-Murley score, simplified McGill pain score, subacromial space value(AHI) and acromion index value(AI) of SIS patients were observed before and after treatment. [Results] The UCLA,Constant-Murley score, simplified McGill pain score, subacromial space(AHI) and acromial index(AI) of 30 patients after treatment were significantly improved compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). [Conclusion] DING's massage can effectively relieve the pain and improve the clinical symptoms of patients with SIS,such as the range of motion of the shoulder joint. Its improvement is mainly related to the increase of the subacromial space and the acromial index.
