Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the effect of Tongbian Guasha at auricular point of Yiqi Tongluo method on blood glucose control and inflammatory factors in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with yin deficiency and blood stasis. [Methods] 100 patients with T2DM with both yin deficiency and blood stasis admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to September 2022 were randomly divided into two groups with 50 cases in each group by number table method. The control group was treated with routine hypoglycemic therapy, and the observation group was treated with Tongbian Guasha at auricular point of Yiqi Tongluo method for 12 weeks on the basis of routine hypoglycemic therapy. The efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptom score, blood glucose control, lipid metabolism, inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. [Results] The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (96.00% vs. 80.00%,P<0.05). After treatment, the two groups had dry mouth, excessive drinking, limb numbness pain, five upset and hot,Shortness of breath, perspiration, constipation, lumbar and knee acid and soft TCM syndrome scores, fasting blood glucose (FPG),fasting insulin (FINS),postprandiall 2 h blood glucose (2 h PBG),glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c),insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR),total cholesterol (TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) were all lower than those before treatment (P<0.05),and the TCM syndrome scores,FPG,FINS,2 h PBG,HbA1c,HOMA-IR,TC,LDL-C,TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). [Conclusion] Tongbian scraping at auricular point of Yiqi Tongluo method can improve glucose and lipid metabolism and insulin resistance, reduce inflammation and improve the clinical therapeutic effect of T2DM with yin deficiency and blood stasis.
