Abstract
|
Hypertriglyceridemia is a common type of dyslipidemia in our hyperlipidemic population and is an important risk factor for the development and exacerbation of acute pancreatitis, and therefore should be taken seriously in clinical practice. In Constitution of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),phlegm-dampness is considered to be a physical condition characterized by stagnation and heavy turbidity due to internal stagnation of water and phlegm-dampness. Clinical epidemiological studies have shown that phlegm and dampness are the most common risk factors for the development of hypertriglyceridemia and that there are many cognitive similarities between the two and the basic principles of TCM constitutionality. The theory of genetic endowment, the theory of life processes and the theory of environmental constraints are the basic principles of TCM physiology, the starting point and theoretical basis for the study of the intrinsic connection between physique and disease. The “identification of the body-identification of the disease-identification of the evidence” diagnosis and treatment model is based on the premise that there is an intrinsic connection between the body, the disease and the evidence, and on the theory of “correlation between the body and the disease” and “adjustment of the body”,which is an important theoretical basis for clinical guidance in the dispensing of medicine and prescriptions. Research has shown that clinical treatment of hypertriglyceridemia by improving phlegm and dampness with body toning remedies is also effective. Therefore, this paper will discuss the intrinsic relationship between phlegm-dampness and hypertriglyceridemia based on the basic principles of TCM constitutionality. On the other hand,it will elaborate on the TCM diagnosis and treatment of phlegm-dampness hypertriglyceridemia based on the “identification of body-identification of disease-identification of evidence” treatment model, with a view to gaining a deeper understanding of phlegm-dampness hypertriglyceridemia. |
