A new approach to the treatment of benign thyroid nodules based on lung and spleen homology acupuncture

Abstract
    Benign thyroid nodule is a common and frequently occurring disease in clinical practice. In this paper,the pathomechanism of “qi stagnation,phlegm dampness and blood stasis” is closely followed,and a new approach is developed to determine the therapeutic principles and methods of acupuncture and moxibustion. Danzhong skin pricking method is used to open the chest and regulate lung qi, and the hip is pricked to dispel spleen pathogen through twitching achieved by filiform needle. A combination of local intradermal needle and press needle in the circumferential needling of nodules to remove blood stasis. By combining the use of different needles and acupuncture methods,as well as combining upper and lower point combination,the clinical efficacy is satisfactory,and now it is explained as follows,in the same way.
