Abstract
|
Functional constipation is the most common type of chronic constipation,which belongs to chronic functional intestinal diseases,characterized by recurrent episodes and difficult to be cured. Although short-term constipation is not life-threatening,gastrointestinal discomfort caused by constipation seriously affects patients’ quality of life,and long-term constipation may increase the incidence of colorectal tumors. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in enhancing gastrointestinal motility and regulating intestinal peristalsis rhythm. This article summarizes the research progress of the application and mechanism research of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of functional constipation in recent years,provides reference for further research on the efficacy and mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of functional constipation. |
