Abstract

Cough Theory of Plain Question said:“All five internal organs are coughing,not only lungs.” Lung disease is closely related to other organs. However,lung disease can be treated by regulating other organs. Fundamentally,the kidney is the essence of kidney yin and kidney yang. The lung and kidney in the five elements belong to a mutual generation between metal and water. Shaoyin kidney water can nourish yangming dry gold. Complementing the son can make the mother solid,and complementing the mother can also help the son,both of them are mutually beneficial and complement each other. So the relationship between the lung and kidney can’t be ignored. In Synopsis of the Golden Chamber,although there are only a few formulas for treating lung diseases from the perspective of mutual generation between metal and water,they play a pivotal role. The ideas of treatment laid the foundation for the formation of the theory of the gate of life in later generations of doctors and also inspired the clinical treatment nowadays. The ideas of treating lung diseases from the perspective of mutual generation between metal and water in Synopsis of the Golden Chamber are summarized as follows,to benefit the treatment of lung diseases in clinical practice. |
