The study of the theoretical development of epidemiology in Chinese medicine is beneficial to the inheritance of Chinese medicine and provides a reference for the future fight against emerging infectious diseases. When JIANG Shiji wrote Shanghan Yi,he used the theory of Inner Canon of Huangdi and Treatise on Febrile Diseases as the basis and took on the theory of Wenyi Lun,which recognized that the plague was different from typhoid fever, and proposed that the treatment of the plague was always be based on dredging and relieving the epidemics, and emphasized on the care of healthy qi,and he also creatively classified the downward method into the four aspects of can be downward, desirable to be downward, urgent downward, and continuous downward to make up for the inadequacies of the predecessors and to facilitate the development of the science of epidemiology. Today,we are exploring the background of the birth of Jiang Shiji’s Shanghan Yi plague treatment theory, the origin of academic thinking, and systematically sorting out the characteristics of its epidemic treatment,to provide references for today’s clinics to better cope with common infectious diseases and even new-onset and sudden-onset infectious and contagious diseases. |
