Abstract
[Objective] To observe the occurrence of insomnia in patients with chronic urticaria and the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic urticaria with insomnia based on real world. [Methods] In a real-world retrospective cohort study,217 patients diagnosed with chronic urticaria and treated with acupuncture were included. The 80 patients with chronic urticaria accompanied by insomnia were screened out according to Pittsburgh sleep quality index score(PSQI) before treatment, and the basic clinical data, related index score and treatment plan of the 80 patients were collected. The incidence of insomnia in different age, sex, course of disease and syndrome differentiation was compared. And the differences of visual analog scale(VAS),7-day urticaria activity score(UAS7),dermatological life quality index(DLQI),PSQI in patients with insomnia were observed before and after the acupuncture treatment, and comprehensively analyze the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating the patients with chronic urticaria accompanied by insomnia. [Results] There was no statistically significant difference in gender, age, and disease duration of chronic urticaria patients with insomnia. All symptom scores of insomnia patients before acupuncture treatment were higher than those after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Insomnia in patients with chronic urticaria has nothing to do with gender, age, and disease duration, but it may be related to the itching symptoms of urticaria. The symptom scores of patients with insomnia before treatment were higher than that after treatment, and acupuncture treatment can effectively relieve the itching symptoms of urticaria and improve insomnia.
