Abstract
|
Traditional Chinese medicine time medicine is the study of the relationship between natural time rhythms and cyclical biological rhythms of the human body based on the core principle of “correspondence of human body and nature environment”,which guides the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of diseases. Liver cancer is the third most common cause of cancer-related deaths in the world with a serious threat to human health. The liver as “official of the general” with yang for yin function governs conveyance and dispersion, and the rhythmic nature of the liver’s function is reflected in its regulation of various biological rhythms, including rest, diet and work. Therefore, the disruption of the biological rhythm inevitably plays a promoting role in the development and deterioration of liver cancer. The review discusses the correlation between liver and biological rhythm from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine time medicine, specifies the influence of rest and diet rhythm on liver development, and discusses the application of liver cancer chronotherapy in conjunction with modern biological clock concept, hoping to enrich the clinical knowledge of liver cancer and provide some potential effective treatment options. |
