Abstract
|
Chronic atrophic gastritis is a chronic inflammatory condition characterized by atrophic changes in the gastric mucosa, resulted from various pathogenic factors. The clinical manifestations are lack of specificity, with the characteristics of high recurrence, difficult to cure completely, and accompanied by a certain risk of gastric cancer. LI Diangui,a renowned master of traditional Chinese medicine, initiated the “turbidity poison theory”,and believed that the core pathogenesis of chronic atrophic gastritis is attributed to turbidity and toxins. In his clinical diagnosis and treatment,Professor LI employed methods of turbidity reduction and detoxification to address chronic atrophic gastritis. He integrated gastroscopic images with tongue diagnostics images, interpreting the changes in these images as reflective of disease progression from a unique perspective. With the help of this theoretical framework,it is aimed to enhance clinicians’ understanding of the dynamic development of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis, thereby facilitating more accurate clinical guidance for medication and offering new insights into disease progression and prognostic outcomes. |
