| The Treatise on febrile disease is mainly based on the syndrome differentiation of six meridians，and it shows the medical theory of the method and prescription of medicine in the form of articles，and it always emphasizes on whether the stomach qi and fluid are in full bloom or not in treatments. Although the Treatise on febrile disease attaches importance to the therapeutic idea of “protecting stomach qi and preserving fluids”，this paper，through combing the key provisions of the Treatise on febrile disease and advocating the classics，examines the beginning of the injury to stomach qi，and identifies the root cause of the illness in fluids，which makes it clear that “protecting stomach qi and preserving fluids” is not independent. Stomach qi and fluid have the same sound and rhythm，and the relationship between the two is “the stomach generates and the fluid recovers”. When stomach qi is injured，it is difficult to generate fluid；when stomach qi is blocked，fluid circulation is blocked. It is the stomach qi that is the cause of the phenomenon. When the stomach qi is generated，maintain the stomach qi to generate，and smooth the stomach qi to transport；when the fluid is restored，help the stomach qi and fluid to have a source to generate，and smooth the stomach qi and fluid to transmit and restore normal. |
