Abstract
|
Chronic heart failure is a complex clinical syndrome, which is the end stage of the occurrence and development of a variety of heart diseases. And it is characterized by high morbidity and mortality, poor quality of life, and high treatment costs. Modern studies have shown that ferroptosis is highly involved in the pathogenesis of chronic heart failure. Ferroptosis is a novel form of iron-dependent regulatory cell death characterized by lipid peroxide accumulation and REDOX imbalance. Glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4) plays an important role in the process of ferroptosis and is a key antagonist of this process. A large number of studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine has the characteristics of multi-components and multi-targets in the prevention and treatment of chronic heart failure, and the therapeutic effect is significant. More and more studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can inhibit the ferroptosis of cardiomyocytes by affecting the expression of GPX4,providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of chronic heart failure. |
