Abstract
|
This article reviews the clinical research and mechanism research progress of acupuncture in the treatment of coronary heart disease(CHD) both domestically and internationally in the past five years. The research findings indicated that acupuncture,as a non-pharmacological therapy, had demonstrated positive effects in alleviating angina pectoris, improving myocardial ischemia, enhancing cardiopulmonary function, increasing exercise tolerance, and improving patients’ quality of life, with minimal adverse reactions. The mechanism of acupuncture in treating CHD was complex, involving comprehensive effects in multiple levels, multiple pathways, and multiple targets, specifically including reducing myocardial cell damage, regulating the balance of the autonomic nervous system, and inhibiting inflammatory responses and other aspects. Although some progress had been made in the clinical and basic research of acupuncture in the treatment of CHD,further exploration of its mechanism is still needed to carry out so as to provide new scientific evidence for the innovation and development of acupuncture therapy in the future, thereby better serving clinical practice and scientific research. |
