| Abstract
|
| Endothelial cell dysfunction(ECD) is a pathological state characterized by impaired barrier function, reduced vasodilation, oxidative stress,as well as a pro-inflammatory and pro-thrombotic status. ECD is regarded as the initiating factor in atherosclerosis(AS). This review elaborates on the specific mechanisms by which ECD promotes AS and discusses therapeutic strategies using traditional Chinese medicine to ameliorate ECD,aiming to provide new insights for traditional Chinese medicine interventions to delay the progression of AS. |
