| Abstract
|
| Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is one of the most common and severe microvascular complications of diabetes, with a complex pathogenesis. Current treatment methods are difficult to effectively halt its progression and often have limitations. In recent years, research has found that peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR)γ coactivator-1α(PGC-1α)plays a significant role in regulating blood glucose, mitophagy, oxidative stress, inflammatory responses, apoptosis, and improving renal fibrosis, all closely related to the progression of DKD. Traditional Chinese medicine can delay the progression of DKD by regulating the expression of PGC-1α through multiple targets and pathways. Therefore, this article systematically reviews the mechanisms of PGC-1α in DKD and summarizes the research progress on traditional Chinese medicine targeting PGC-1α to intervene in DKD,aiming to provide new insights for the treatment of DKD. |
