Abstract
Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a recurrent and difficult intestinal disease. Professor WANG Qingguo,a master of traditional Chinese medicine, has developed a unique diagnostic and treatment system for UC based on the inheritance of the diagnostic essence of Shanghan Lun and combined with modern clinical experience. Professor WANG first focuses on the pathogenesis and establishes “spleen yang deficiency and damp-heat accumulation”as the core pathogenesis of UC. Based on this,he created an internal“Kuijie Wenqing Yin”and“external enema formula”as specialized prescriptions for this disease. In addition,in response to complex clinical situations,Professor WANG systematically extracted six core treatment methods:soothing the liver and regulating the spleen, combining cold and warm therapies, strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidney, clearing damp-heat,clearing heat and detoxifying, and strengthening the spleen and removing dampness. On the basis of specialized prescriptions,he flexibly modified them. This“adhering to specialized prescriptions and applying six methods”system fully embodies Professor WANG Qingguo’s academic thought of seeking the root cause of the disease, combining disease and syndrome, and dynamic treatment. Through theoretical elaboration and case verification, this article systematically presents Professor WANG Qingguo’s diagnostic and treatment ideas and experience for UC,which has important guiding significance for clinical practice.
