Abstract
In the new era,the preservation, innovation, and development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)have been elevated to a national strategy. Based on the guiding principles of Academician ZHANG Boli’s speeches and the practices in Tianjin, this paper systematically discusses the core strategic paths for promoting the high-quality development of TCM and conducts an empirical analysis. It proposes that clinical efficacy,as the foundation for the survival and development of TCM,requires validation through modern evidence-based medicine;scientific and technological innovation, serving as the core driving force, necessitates the deep integration of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data to cultivate new productive forces;cross-disciplinary integration represents an essential pathway, requiring the synergistic development of TCM with culture, tourism, industry, and multiple academic disciplines;talent cultivation provides a solid foundation, necessitating the establishment of echelon-based,interdisciplinary talent teams. Furthermore, this paper elucidates the comprehensive value of TCM as the“five types of resources”encompassing medical, technological, economic, cultural, and ecological dimensions. It also delves into the critical role of the preventive medicine system with Chinese characteristics “Health Preservation and Preventive Treatment of Disease”and the context of the“Healthy China”initiative. Ultimately, the future of TCM lies in adhering to the principle of“Uphold Fundamental Principles and Break New Ground”. By embracing an open mindset to facilitate the deep integration of TCM and Western medicine,as well as multidisciplinary crossover,TCM can contribute Chinese wisdom to the building of a global community of health for all.
