| Abstract
|
| Objective This study aims to develop an automated equipment for the preparation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) samples, enhancing throughput, efficiency, and quality in sample preparation. Methods By integrating automation technology with traditional sample preparation methods, we developed "Tuanbo 1" for the automated preparation of TCM sample solutions. Taking Fructus Gardeniae as an example, the content of geniposide was analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography to verify the applicability and stability of the equipment. In addition, the equipment was employed to prepare sample solutions of other TCMs, such as Folium Eucommiae, Radix Scrophulariae, and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae. The performance of the equipment was comprehensively assessed by establishing a "spider-web" model of a multi-dimensional evaluation system. Results The "Tuanbo 1" automated equipment successfully integrated multiple steps including liquid addition, extraction, centrifugation, separation, and transfer, greatly enhancing the automatic level of TCM sample preparation. In the preparation of Fructus Gardeniae, the equipment demonstrated strong applicability and stability. In comparison to traditional manual sample preparation, the equipment exhibited significant advantages in terms of processing efficiency, automation level, accuracy, integration, and cost-effectiveness.Conclusion The "Tuanbo 1" automated equipment can effectively replace traditional manual operations and is suitable for the preparation of various TCM sample solutions. It offers considerable improvements in sample processing capacity and efficiency while reducing costs, indicating potential for widespread application. |
