| Abstract

| [Objective] To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Tripterygium Glycoside Tablets（TGT） combined with moxibustion in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis（RA） and its impact on serum inflammatory factors. [Methods] A total of 142 RA patients were randomly divided into the TGT group and the moxibustion group according to a random number table，with 71 cases in each group. The TGT group received TGT monotherapy，while the moxibustion group received additional moxibustion therapy. The following parameters were compared between the two groups：clinical efficacy，clinical symptoms，pain and functional scores，serum inflammatory factors [tumor necrosis factor-α（TNF-α），high-sensitivity C-reactive protein（hs-CRP），interleukin-6（IL-6），IL-1β]，rheumatoid factor（RF），and incidence of adverse reactions. [Results] The total effective rate was significantly higher in the moxibustion group（94.37%） than in the TGT group（81.69%，P＜0.05）. After treatment，all assessed parameters（clinical symptom-related indicators，Visual Analogue Scale score，Health Assessment Questionnaire score，TNF-α，RF，hs-CRP，IL-6，and IL-1β levels） showed significant reductions，with greater decreases in the moxibustion group（P＜0.05）. There was no statistical difference between TGT group and moxibustion group（P＞0.05）. [Conclusion] TGT combined with moxibustion demonstrates significant therapeutic effects for RA patients，including alleviation of clinical symptoms，pain relief，improved joint function，reduced inflammatory responses，and suppressed disease progression，with a favorable safety profile. |
