| Abstract
|
| The two-way feedback of heart-brain disease based on the “heart-brain axis” seriously increases the mortality and economic burden of patients. We put forward the ideas and methods of the theory of “heart-brain integrity” by integrating traditional and modern theory and practice of the relationship between heart and brain based on the theory of “both heart and brain are in charge of mental activity” proposed by ZHANG Xichun. The theory of “heart-brain integration” mainly includes two parts:heart-brain interaction(brain-heart syndrome and heart-brain syndrome) and heart-brain co-treatment. They are corresponding to the traditional Chinese medicine theory of the heart controls mental activities and the co-treatment of heart and brain. The cutting-edge means and methods to interpret the principle of “heart-brain integration” theory with modern science and technology are illustrated, such as integration of artificial intelligence,multi-omics and Mendelian randomization, organoid chip, integration of spatial metabolome and spatial transcriptome, and target fishing. In summary,we are aiming at promoting to reveal the scientific connotation of “heart-brain integration” theory, facilitating the rapid research development between heart and brain relationship, stimulating the thinking and practice of the “holistic view” of traditional Chinese medicine, and contributing the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. |
