| Abstract
|
| Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease(ADPKD) is a progressive and incurable hereditary renal disease, which is a common cause of end stage renal disease(ESRD). “The theory of kidney deficiency and blood stasis” and “the therapy of tonifying kidney and promoting blood circulation” were initiated by national traditional Chinese medicine Master ZHANG Daning, and have now become a common therapy in the treatment of chronic kidney disease with traditional Chinese medicine. Based on “the theory of kidney deficiency and blood stasis” and “the therapy of tonifying kidney and promoting blood circulation”,we summarize the core etiology of ADPKD as “congenital deficiency and acquired injury”. The dynamic development of “deficiency, stasis and toxin” is the key link of the deterioration of the disease. The progression of the disease is as follows:“ADPKD initially affects the spleen and kidney, then involves the liver and kidney in the middle stage, and in the end stage,it often damages multiple viscera. Throughout the entire process, kidney deficiency and blood stasis are consistently present.” Therefore, based on “the theory of kidney deficiency and blood stasis” and “the therapy of tonifying kidney and promoting blood circulation”,the treatment of ADPKD provides a novel reference for clinical diagnosis and therapy. |
