| Abstract

| Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive，devastating and fatal interstitial lung disease. With the increasing global disease burden of pulmonary fibrosis，patients’ quality of life and health are severely impacted. Research has shown that traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation-based treatment offers unique advantages for pulmonary fibrosis. Chinese herb pairs can serve both as combinations in compound formulations and as independent simplified formulas，demonstrating high clinical flexibility in clinical application. Based on a CNKI literature search，39 relevant research articles were identified and reviewed. The findings were categorized into four types（nourishing yin and moistening dryness，tonifying the lung and boosting qi，tonifying the lung and kidney，activating blood circulation and resolving stasis），encompassing 10 groups of herb pairs and their research progress，thereby providing clinical references for the traditional Chinese medicine prevention and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis. |
