摘要:

莲为原双子叶植物睡莲目睡莲科多年水生草本植物，古语有"一莲九药"之说，然莲之入药部位不同，功效有别。但总不离"莲"的"妙洁自在"特性，"莲"之性决定了其功用：在泥不染、本体清净，故而能破血散瘀、清心消暑；柔软不涩，故而可补益心脾，补血养血；自性开发，故能升阳、轻宣、解毒。莲能通过其荡涤污秽、除病去垢之功，以达除百疾的目的。

Abstract:

Lian (Lotus),a perennial aquatic herb,is the original dicotyledon of the nymphaeales in nymphaeaceae. There is an ancient saying that "one lotus can be used as nine drugs",but there are different effects in its different officinal parts. However,they all do not deviate from its nature of bright and clean of Lian. The nature of Lian determines its function:it cannot be stained in the mud with a clean body,so it could remove and clear the blood stagnation,clear the heart and cool off the heat;it is soft,so it could tonify spleen and heart,nourish blood;it is ascending in property,so it could be used for promoting yang,dispersing qi,and detoxification. Through its ability to clean up the filth,remove the disease and the stagnation,the lotus could function in eliminating many diseases.
