Abstract:
[Objective] This study examines the impact of Daoyin therapy on the rehabilitation of diabetic foot patients. [Methods] A total of 57 patients with diabetic foot were randomly assigned to either an experimental group or a control group. The experimental group participated in Daoyin therapy sessions five times per week along with standard treatment, while the control group received only standard treatment. [Results] After the intervention, comparing the treatment outcomes of both groups showed that the experimental group had a significantly higher total effective rate than the control group, with the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). Following Daoyin therapy, the toe brachial index(TBI) values, foot temperatures, and temperatures at the Yinbai,Yongquan,The temperatures at the Yinbai,Yongquan, and Dadun acupoints in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Additionally, visual analogue scale(VAS) scores and ulcer areas were considerably lower in the experimental group compared to the control group(P<0.01). Within the experimental group,pre- and post-intervention comparisons revealed substantial increases in TBI values, foot temperatures, and temperatures at the Yinbai,Yongquan, and Dadun acupoints(P<0.05). Additionally, there was a notable reduction in VAS scores(P<0.01) and ulcer areas(P<0.01). In contrast, the control group showed no statistically significant changes in TBI values, foot temperatures, and temperatures at the Yinbai and Dadun acupoints(P>0.05),while the temperature at the Yongquan acupoint decreased(P<0.05),and reductions in ulcer areas(P<0.05),glycated hemoglobin levels, and VAS scores were observed(P<0.01). [Conclusion] Clinical observations suggest that Daoyin therapy,as a supplement to conventional treatment, provides significant clinical benefits in the rehabilitation of patients with diabetic foot. Therefore,Daoyin therapy can be considered an integral part of the comprehensive management strategy for diabetic foot, promoting ulcer healing.
