Abstract
[Objection] To explore the protective mechanism of Xinshen (spirit and body) Ⅰ Prescription against stress ulceration in rats.[Methods] All the rats were randomly divided into three groups:model group, normal group,Xinshen Ⅰ group. The rats of Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription group were administrated with Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription and that of model and normal group with normal saline. The general state, the gastric acid and mucosa change and substance P change of cerebral enteropetide and curative effect of Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription were observed.[Results] The pH value of model group was obviously higher than that of normal group (P<0.05) and the pH value of model group was not obviously different compared with that of Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription group (P>0.05).So Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription didn't enhance the pH value of gastric juice. The mucosa ulcer index of model group was obviously higher than that of normal group (P<0.01) and the mucosa ulcer index of Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription group was obviously lower than that of model group (P<0.05).Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription might obviously decrease the content of substance P in plasma, brain tissue and stomach mucosa (P<0.01).[Conclusion] Xinshen Ⅰ Prescription may obviously protect the stomach mucous membrane, the integrality of cellular construction, and prevent the formation of ulcer. Its mechanism may be related to the excessive high content of substance P in the blood plasma, brain tissue and stomach mucosa.
